3/7/08 The sequences for the clones analyzed at the schools last fall have been posted!! We thank Anabela Brito and Hiten Shah from GE Healthcare for performing and arranging for the sequencing. Please remember that we will not review your clones until you have completed the analysis of the PC1-PC5 clones.

3/4/08 Reminder: We have canceled the academic year follow up meeting scheduled for Friday, March 7, 2008.  We are rescheduling this meeting for next month, Friday, April 4, 2008.  We look forward to seeing you then.

3/4/08 Continue to check this WSSP Home Page for important messages - sequence wave forms will be posted soon!

1/30/08 Remember to complete (submitted and verified by the WSSP staff) Practice Clones PC1 through PC5 on DSAP.  Please check the status of your clones to be sure that you do not have to make corrections. Your analysis of new clones will stay on hold until you've completely finished all five of these practice clones. PC6 and PC7 are only required if you plan to perform primer walking or subcloning to obtain additional sequence.

1/18/08 The list of clones to be sequenced was due 1/14/08. If you have not sent in the the list please do so immediately or you will not get your clones sequenced.

1/18/08 There have been some reports of problems with DSAP using the Explorer 6 web browser. If you are having trouble connecting or it is very slow, try using Firefox or Safari.

10/25/07  Congratulations to the three teams who won the Clicker Competition that was held at our follow up meeting last Friday, October 19, 2007.  Over 100 students "battled" over questions about this year's research project.  And the first place winners are:  both teams from Colonia High School, a team from Somerville High School. Congratulations to all!

10/24/07  Did you see the NJN News piece about the WSSP and BRITE programs that aired tonight?  Great job!  Thank you BRITE teachers and WSSP students!

10/1/07 Thank you to the Johnson and Johnson Foundation for their generous support of our academic year work.  We've purchased state-of-the-art microcentrifuges that we'll loan out to schools involved with the 2007-2008 research project at our next follow up meeting in October.

8/1/07 The WSSP has obtained support from the Toshiba Foundation for the formation of an Equipment Lending Library. We have purchased pipetors, vortexers, microcentrifuges, thermal cyclers and agarose gel documentation systems for students to use in their high schools during the academic year. We thank the Toshiba Foundation for helping us to provide these resources to the schools involved in the project.
