Gregor's Notes
Named in honor of Gregor Mendel, these illustrated notes cover the factual material of molecular biology/genetics. They begin with an overview of DNA, RNA, and proteins, and continue on with the processes of transcription, translation, and replication. Additional topics include classical genetics (from a molecular viewpoint), genetic engineering, and bioinformatics.
Morgan Genetics Tutorial
The Morgan Genetics Tutorial, named in honor of the great pioneering geneticist Thomas Hunt Morgan, was written by Mary Gribbin and William Sofer. It covers the basics genetic principles in six tutorials, each consisting of ten screens or pages. A quiz is offered as an option after each tutorial.
Molecular Biology Tutorial
This tutorial was originally written by William Sofer to accompany "Modern Genetic Analysis", a genetics text from Freeman Publishing. It has been extensively reworked.
BRITE Help Tutorial (beta)
This tutorial is intended to be used with the student research projects. It is in the early phases of testing. Any comments would be appreciated (send to sofer@waksman.rutgers.edu). Latest version posted 3/3/05.
